Business Plan Competition
Please read the following instructions clearly.
Round 1 – Executive Summary: The team/individual must send us a document with a rough overview of your start-up/business idea. (Please mail the document to firstname.lastname@example.org before 14th February 2019). Teams will compete against each other in a display of creativity and clarity of thought. In this round participants are tasked with explaining the idea in an Executive Summary answering the question to
1. What is the existing gap or problem that you are solving?
2. What is your solution/idea/product?
3. What is your revenue model?
Round 2 – Teams whose ideas are shortlisted will be given a prescription format in which they will have to present their comprehensive business plan covering specific aspects of financial projections, marketing strategy & operations strategy. The teams can divulge in their submission (addition or deletion of sections) from the given format if its necessary to put across their ideas.
Round 3 – Selected teams/individuals will then be invited via email to the campus to present their idea to the judges.
The final round will comprise of presentation and Q & A with judges and interactions with representatives from funding agencies and incubation organizations. Top three team/individuals will be selected as winners and runners-up respectively in the finals in each category.
This is your chance to give wings to your start-up/business idea. Along with the gift prizes we will give you media coverage and a chance to be incubated at Centre for Management Studies’ incubation centre, Synergy.
Each team should pay Rs.500/- as their registration fee.
Teams will have a unique team name of their choosing and will be required to nominate a team lead. The proposed venture’s name may be same or different than the team name. The teams are required to indicate their team during registration.
All submissions, beginning executive summary, shall indicate both team name and proposed venture name.
The registration for the event closes on the mentioned date.
Any supplementary information meant for the teams will be communicated directly to the team lead subsequently via email.
The event is composed of teams comprising of students.
Each team can have a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 5 members. Members can be from any organization. All the members may or may not be from the same organization.
One participant cannot be part of more than one team.
No change of team structure is permitted after the team is registered. Therefore please register your team through careful thought and deliberation.
